what to expect
sunday service
ARRIVINg
When you arrive at Ma'ema'e, park in any lot within the school grounds: in front of the office, on the side of the cafeteria, or behind the cafeteria. Walk towards the cafeteria located at the back end of the school. You’ll notice that everyone is dressed very casually (some of them are probably heading to the beach after church).
Before service
If you have infants (6 mon - 2 yrs), you can drop them off at the nursery, located in the back of the cafeteria. Kids three years old and up will go to our children's ministry, Newsong Kids, for a fun and meaningful time of Bible lessons, crafts, and games under the care of loving aunties and uncles. We have family services on the 4th and 5th Sundays of each month. No childcare/Sunday School on those dates.
During Service
Service starts at 9:30 am, even if some people are still straggling in on Hawaiian time. We’ll begin with a few songs of worship, and you’re welcome to sing along or just listen. Then you’ll hear a message taken from a passage of the Bible, aimed at making God’s truths applicable to your everyday life.
after Service
After service is our family time. Join us for some ono food and talk story if you want. Feel free to connect with others as much or as little as you like.
